English Students Explore Live Theatre at Barrington Stage Company

Posted Date: 10/28/25 (12:10 PM)

This Fall, grades 10, 11 and 12 from Rensselaer Jr.Sr. High School traveled to the Barrington Stage Company in Pittsfield, Mass., to see the world-premiere production of The Weekend: A Stockbridge Story, written by playwright Ben Diskant. The students were highly engaged in the post-show talkback, taking the opportunity to ask thoughtful questions about the themes, setting and creative process behind the work. The production proved to be a rich theatre-education experience for all involved.

We extend sincere thanks to Miss Steck & Miss Herrick for leading this outing and to our students for representing Rensselaer with curiosity and respect. We look forward to arranging another theatre trip in the spring!
